ST. ST. KONSTANTIN I ELENA

Resort complex St. St. Constantine and Helena is the oldest Bulgarian Black Sea resort. His previous name Druzhba (after 1957 to 1992) is still quite popular not only among the people of Varna, but throughout Bulgaria. It is located 10 km northeast of the center of Varna.
Now the resort is named after the monastery of St. Constantine and Helena, which is located in the area from the XIV - XVI century. From then until today, only one small church has survived, half dug into the ground. The famous wine "Kalugersko shushukane" was produced in the monastery. This landmark and the beautiful nature attracted the population even before the Liberation as a place for recreation.
